A Chevrolet Corvette failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado

Pomeroy, WA. – Two people were injured in a collision on Monday afternoon in Pomeroy.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened around 1:08 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and State Route 127.
79-year-old Dale K. McAtee of Ferndale, Washington, was driving a red 2018 Chevrolet Corvette westbound on the freeway when he failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with a gray 2023 Chevrolet Silverado.
McAtee was injured in the accident and was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, while his passenger, 71-year-old Patricia L. McAtee, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
The driver of the Silverado, 44-year-old Levi P. Walker of Pullman, was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
