Phoenix, AZ – A woman was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident in Phoenix, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened just before midnight on July 20 in the area of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road.
Police said 24-year-old Angel Benkelman was hit by a car and left unconscious on the roadway.
Benkelman was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
The involved car fled the scene after the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
