Man Injured After Being Stuck Under Tractor in Harvard, Illinois

Authorities said a tractor rolled over in a body of water trapping a man in unclear circumstances.

Harvard, IL. – A man was transported to the hospital after being pinned under a tractor in Harvard on Sunday evening, McHenry County, according to the Harvard Fire Protection District. 

The deadly collision happened at 2:47 p.m. July 20 at Bunker Hill and Island roads.

Authorities said a tractor rolled over in a body of water trapping a man in unclear circumstances.

The elderly man’s head was visible above the water.

The scene of the crash was remote and fire officials ferried their resume equipment over a mile using pickup trucks and all-wheeled drive utility vehicles.

It was believed that the man was trapped for nearly three hours before his family found him.

He was flown to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center by the University of Wisconsin Health Med Flight helicopter.

An investigation is underway.
