South Bend, IN. – 61-year-old Grant Burkett has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision early Saturday morning in South Bend.
According to the South Bend Police Department, the accident happened around 4:45 a.m. on July 19, the area of South Michigan Street and Ireland Road.
Burkett was traveling westbound on US 20 and was attempting to exit northbound onto Michigan Street when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed.
Burkett was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
