La Porte County, IN. – Two people were injured in a car accident on Monday afternoon in La Porte.
According to La Porte Police, the accident happened on Fail Road at U.S 20.
35-year-old Eric Higgins, of Michigan City, was driving a 2020 Ford Fusion when he turned left into the path of an oncoming 2022 Ford F-150 pick-up truck driven by Juanita Quirk, 69, of La Porte.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles had heavy front-end damage and were towed.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
