Authorities said a Ford F150, for unknown reasons, struck the right barrier bridge along the freeway and burst into flames.

Mesa, AZ. – A pickup driver was killed after a traffic collision on Wednesday morning in Mesa, Arizona, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The deadly crash happened on the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.
Authorities said a Ford F150, for unknown reasons, struck the right barrier bridge along the freeway and burst into flames.
The driver and the only truck occupant died in the crash.
The westbound lanes were blocked at Broadway Road for a number of hours but have since been reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
