Elkhart County, IN. – A woman was injured in a car crash on Sunday morning in Elkhart County.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 9 a.m. in the 21200 block of State Road 120.
19-year-old Cyanna McKnight was driving a 2014 Honda Accord westbound and was trying to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed when she lost control.
The vehicle veered off the highway, struck a tree, and overturned.
McNight was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with complaints of pain to her right side and back.
Authorities confirmed alcohol was a factor in the accident, and the woman was later arrested for operating while intoxicated.
More details about the accident were not released.
