Police said Barnes-Aversa was heading north on 16th Street when he crashed into the other car as it was making a turn onto 16th Street from Riverview Drive.

Phoenix, AZ. – 70-year-old Jeffrey Barnes-Aversa was killed after a motorcycle accident on Monday night in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident happened at around 10:10 p.m. on July 14, at the intersection of 16th Street and Riverview Drive.
Police said Barnes-Aversa was heading north on 16th Street in his motorcycle when he crashed into a car that was making a turn onto 16th Street from Riverview Drive.
Jeffrey Barnes-Aversa was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The second driver stayed at the crash site following the collision.
Police did not believe impairment contributed to the crash.
The accident reconstruction process is ongoing.
