Police said the semi-truck driver was heading northbound on the highway when a Nissan Sentra was heading towards the truck at a high rate of speed. The semi-truck driver did not notice the vehicle and the Sentra’s front struck the truck’s trailer.

Palm Beach Gardens, FL. – A 24-year-old Jupiter woman was killed following a deadly semi-truck collision early Wednesday morning in Palm Beach Gardens, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at 3:35 a.m. on I-95 North , one mile north of PGA Boulevard.
Police said a freightliner semi-truck driver was heading northbound on the highway when a Nissan Sentra was heading towards the truck at a high rate of speed. The semi-truck driver did not notice the vehicle and the Sentra’s front struck the truck’s trailer.
The Nissan was stuck underneath the trailer due to the crash.
The Jupiter woman was declared dead at the scene. The truck driver did not suffer any injuries.
Lanes were blocked delaying traffic in the area following the collision. The roadway was reopened a while after 9:00 a.m.
An investigation is underway.
