Youngtown, AZ – Two women were seriously injured Sunday night in separate pedestrian accidents in Youngtown, according to the authorities.

The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on July 13 at the intersection of 111th Avenue and Grand Avenue.

Authorities said a woman was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene. A witness, another woman, stopped to help and was also struck by a passing vehicle.

The second vehicle remained at the scene after the accident.

Both women were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
