Olympia, WA. – Two women who died after being hit by a truck in downtown Olympia on Wednesday afternoon have been identified.
The double-fatal crash happened in the area of Fifth Avenue and Simmons Street at around 5 p.m., according to the police.
A car and a truck collided in unclear circumstances.
The truck careened off the roadway after the collision and struck two women on the sidewalk.
The women, who have been identified as 71-year-old Joy Ezindu, of Tumwater, and 62-year-old Carla Gonzales, of Olympia, died at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
