Ellensburg, WA. – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being injured in a crash in Ellensburg on Friday morning.

The accident happened on U.S. 97 near Smithson Road around 9:15 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol.

39-year-old Casey Trussell of Aumsville, Oregon, was riding a 2013 Yamaha FZ6 on the highway when he failed to negotiate a curve and crashed into a ditch.

Trussell was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
