Police said a Dodge Charger was heading south on Illinois 130 when it passed a line of traffic and hit northbound Ford F150 and a northbound GMC Envoy.

Coles County, IL. – Three persons sustained fatal injuries, one severely injured after a traffic crash on Sunday night near Charleston, Coles County.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened at 5:00 p.m. July 6, on Illinois 130 near County Road 480 N.
Police said a Dodge Charger was heading south on Illinois 130 when it passed a line of traffic and hit northbound Ford F150 and a northbound GMC Envoy.
The Charger driver and two Charger passengers were killed in the collision.
The Envoy driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
The Ford F150 was not hurt in the crash.
Authorities closed the roadway following the accident. It was reopened at around 11:47 p.m.
An investigation is underway.
