Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Valencia College Lane near Orlando

Troopers said a man from Orlando was trying to turn left to southbound lanes on Short Pine Circle and entered directly into a motorcyclist’s path. The motorcycle then hit the SUV.

27-Year-Old Tampa Man Killed in Orange County Motorcycle Accident at Valencia College Lane and Short Pine Circle

Orlando, FL. – A 27-year-old man from Tampa was killed after a motorcycle collision on Tuesday night near Orlando in Orange County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 9:40 p.m. on July 8, at Valencia College Lane and Short Pine Circle, east of Goldenrod Road.

Troopers said a man from Orlando was trying to turn left to southbound lanes on Short Pine Circle and entered directly into a motorcyclist’s path. The motorcycle then hit the SUV.

The rider, a 27-year-old man from Tampa, was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Troopers believed the rider was npot wearing a helmet at the time.

The SUV driver was not hurt and he stayed at the scene.

The Valencia College Lane was closed following the crash. 

An investigation is underway.
