Northbrook, IL. – At least one person was killed following a multi-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon in Northbrook, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. on northbound I-94 near milepost 30 at Dundee Road near Route 41.
Police said three vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined.
At least one person was killed in the collision.
Authorities closed the Dundee Road southbound ramp to I-94 and southbound lanes of Lake Cook Road to I-94.
Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes and avoid the area as delays were expected on I-94.
The inbound lanes of the freeway were reopened at 6:00 p.m.
An investigation is underway.
