4-Year-Old Maverick Flinn, Great Grandmother, 68, Hit and Killed by Tractor on Southern Indiana Farm

Authorities said a Maverick and his great grandmother, 68, were riding on a tractor when they got off the tractor and were struck by the truck operated by his great grandfather.

Redding Township, IN. – The 4-year-old boy killed with his great grandmother after being hit by a tractor on Monday afternoon at an southern Indiana farm has been identified as Maverick Lee Flinn.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly collision happened at about 7:40 p.m. on January 23, in Redding Township, just north of Seymour.

Authorities said a Maverick and his great grandmother, 68, were riding on a tractor when they got off the tractor and were struck by the truck operated by his great grandfather.

Maverick was taken to Schneck Medical Center where he was declared dead. His great grandmother was airlifted to a hospital in Louisville where she died on Wednesday.

The family received overwhelming support from the community after the accident.

An investigation is underway.
