Authorities said the semi-truck was hauling meat, when for unknown reasons, it went off the inbound Kennedy and ended up in the outbound express lanes.

Chicago, IL. – A semi-driver identified as Darryl King, 62, was killed after a semi-truck hauling meat rolled over on Wednesday night in Chicago, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. June 25, on the Kennedy Expressway at Belmont Avenue.
Authorities said the semi-truck was hauling meat, when for unknown reasons, it went off the inbound Kennedy and ended up in the outbound express lanes. The semi was overturned in the lanes.
King, the semi driver, was taken to an area hospital where he died.
Police closed inbound lanes and outbound expressway lanes following the crash. The roadway was later reopened.
An investigation is underway.
