Granger, IN – The authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car in Granger last week Thursday
The victim was identified as Alexander Nelund, 39, of South Bend.
The deadly accident was reported around 5 p.m. on June 19 on State Road 23 at Birch Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 56-year-old woman from South Bend was attempting to turn left onto SR-23 from Birch Road and drove into the path of a motorcycle operated by Nelund.
The motorcycle crashed into the vehicle and Nelund died at the scene. The woman sustained minor injuries in the crash.
No additional information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
