Bicknell, IL. – 57-year-old Annisa Everett was killed after a traffic collision involving a golf cart on Monday morning in Bicknell, according to Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened a while before 9:00 a.m. June 23, at the Main Street and Third Street intersection.

Deputies said a 17-year-old juvenile was entering the intersection in a pickup truck and at the same time Everett was also driving her golf cart into the intersection. The two ultimately crashed.

Everett was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pains. She died at the hospital and the autopsy revealed that she died of internal injuries.

The teen driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The public was warned about driving golf carts on the roadway because they did not have seatbelts and other safety features, according to the sheriff’s office.

An investigation is underway.
