Police confirmed a passenger vehicle hit the back of a semi tractor trailer. The impact caused the vehicle to careen off the road into an agricultural field.

Sauk Village, IL. – The Illinois State Police is investigating a fatal accident that killed one person on Monday morning in Sauk Village.
The accident happened at about 7:45 a.m. on Route 394, just north of Steger Road.
Police confirmed a passenger vehicle hit the back of a semi tractor trailer. The impact caused the vehicle to careen off the road into an agricultural field.
The vehicle driver died in the collision.
The driver of the semi was not hurt in the accident.
Authorities closed all southbound lanes of Route 394 until at around 11:30 a.m.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
