Melrose, OR. – Three people were hospitalized after being injured in a car accident in Melrose on Sunday afternoon.

At around 1:30 p.m., local police responded to the scene of a collision on Melrose Road near Busenbark Lane.

A 65-year-old Oakland woman was driving her sedan westbound on Melrose Road when she made a left turn and collided with an eastbound car driven by a 40-year-old Bend woman.

Three passengers in the eastbound car sustained minor injuries and were taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.
