Belleville, IL. – The Belleville Police Department is investigating a bicycle collision that left a 14-year-old cyclist with injuries on Tuesday afternoon in Belleville, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at the 1100 block of East B Street at around 4:06 p.m.
Per the report, a 14-year-old bicyclist was crossing the street when they were hit by an 18-year-old driver for reasons still under investigation.
First responders conducted CPR on the cyclist until an ambulance arrived at the scene.
Both the bicyclist and the driver sustained non-life threatening injuries due to the collision.
The motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
An investigation is underway.
