Per the report, a small SUV operated by a woman and another vehicle crashed for unknown reasons. The SUV overturned onto its side and was partially hanging over a guardrail following the collision.

Woodstock, IL. – The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle collision that left five persons including three children injured on Sunday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 8:47 a.m. at Collins Road and Vermont Road.
Per the report, a small SUV operated by a woman and another vehicle crashed for unknown reasons. The SUV overturned onto its side and was partially hanging over a guardrail following the collision.
The Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts responded to the scene and helped the woman out of the SUV without any extrication. She was later taken to an ambulance for evaluation.
Additional ambulances were requested and a total of six persons were evaluated by medics.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but it had minor mechanical issues and a second helicopter was dispatched.
The SUV female driver was airlifted to Javon Bea Hospital in Riverside Campus in Rockford for treatment of critical injuries.
The two vehicles sustained extensive damage.
Police closed the junctions in all directions for around two hours to give way to the rescue operation.
An investigation is ongoing.
