Lacey, WA. – Eleven people were injured in a fiery car accident caused by a teen driver on Saturday afternoon in Lacey.

The accident happened in the area of 14th Avenue Southeast and Ruddell Road Southeast at around 3:15 p.m.

A Lacey Police Department officer spotted a 2014 Dodge driving recklessly on College Street Southeast.

The officer attempted to pull over the 19-year-old driver who failed to stop and turned onto 14th Avenue Southeast and sped.

A short time later, the Charger crashed into three other cars at Ruddell Road Southeast and caught fire.

A total of eleven people including the suspect were injured in the accident.

The teen driver was arrested and booked into Thurston County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
