McAbee was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was later pronounced dead

Suquamish, WA. – Steven McAbee, 77, died after being struck by a car in Suquamish on Monday evening.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened on Highway 305 near George Lane at around 8:45 p.m., according to Washington State Patrol.
The Poulsbo man was walking across the highway when he was struck by a Scion xD traveling northbound.
McAbee was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a 43-year-old University Place man, remained at the scene and was taken into custody. The charges were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
