Tyson R. Stevens Identified as Man Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on 78th Avenue in Milan

Tyson R Stevens Dies After Milan Truck Accident on 78th Avenue

Milan, IL. – The man killed in a semi-truck collision that happened on Wednesday afternoon in Milan has been identified as Tyson R. Stevens, 49, according to the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office.

The accident happened at around 4:17 p.m. on May 28, in the 4300 block of 78th Avenue, also known as Indian Bluff Road.

Police said a passenger vehicle and semi-truck collided in unclear circumstances.

Tyson, a Milan resident and the sole occupant of the passenger car, was killed in the accident.

The semi driver was not hurt in the collision.

The crash also damaged a water main and the Moline Public Works authority responded.

Police said an autopsy is scheduled for Friday, May 30.

The Rock Island County Coroner’s Office, the Illinois State Police and fire departments officials from Coyne Center, Moline, East Moline, Coal Valley, Blackhawk, and the Rock Island Arsenal assisted at the scene.

An investigation is underway.
