McHenry County, IL. – A 27-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened at an intersection in Spring Grove on Sunday afternoon.

According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 3:03 p.m. at the intersection of Johnsburg and Miller roads.

The man was riding a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Johnsburg Road when he collided with a 2021 Honda Civic.

The impact caused both vehicles to come to rest within the intersection.

The rider was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.

The 17-year-old driver of the Honda Civic was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.
