Brevard County, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Melbourne, Brevard County on Memorial Day.

FHP identified the mother of three as 32-year-old Olivia Maggs of Titusville.

Authorities said Maggs was with her three children – an 8-month-old, a 3-year-old, and a 4-year-old – in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The infant suffered major injuries while the other two children sustained minor injuries.

According to FHP, a 2003 Ford F-350, operated by a 58-year-old New York man, was traveling southbound on I-95 when it had a tire blowout, causing the driver to lose control and struck the side of a 2023 Honda Odyssey operated by Maggs.

Both vehicles went off the roadway and crashed into the guadrail.

Maggs was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford and his passenger – a 20-year-old New York woman – were not seriously hurt and remained at the accident scene.

Brevard County, FL – A 32-year-old woman was killed and three children were hospitalized following a traffic collision on Memorial Day in Melbourne, Brevard County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on southbound Interstate 95, just north of Pineda Causeway near mile marker 188.

Police said a Honda Odyssey and a Ford F-350 crashed. The F-350 had a blowout tire prior to the crash.

The Honda driver, a 32-year-old woman, was declared dead at the crash site.

Three kids in the Honda, two boys ages 3 and 4, and an 8-month-old baby were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ford driver was not hospitalized and stayed at the scene.

Police blocked the inside and center southbound lanes of I-95 following the crash. The outside lane is open for use.

An investigation is underway.
