Four people injured in collision at Barger Drive and Dewey Street in Eugene

Eugene, OR. – At least four people were injured in a collision involving a suspected drunk driver in Eugene on Thursday evening.
According to the Eugene Police Department, the accident happened around 4:50 p.m. at Barger Drive and Dewey Street.
A Kia Soul was traveling west on Barger Drive at a high rate of speed and was attempting to pass a line of vehicles when it crashed into a Toyota Camry that was making a left turn onto Barger Drive from Golden Gardens Street.
The impact of the collision caused the Kia Soul and hit a Mazda CX-S in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the Kia Soul, 48-year-old Amy Elizabeth Sundquist, of Noti, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She was cited for DUI and reckless driving.
The drivers of the Mazda and the Camry and a passenger of the Mazda were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
