Bicyclist Killed in Lockhart Crash on Edgewater Drive at American Boulevard Friday Morning
Orlando, FL. – One person is dead following a traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle on Edgewater Drive in Lockhart, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, the collision occurred at about 7 a.m. on Edgewater Drive at All American Boulevard.
Investigators said a vehicle was heading eastbound on Edgewater Drive in the outside lane approaching All American Boulevard when it struck a bicyclist, who FHP said was in the driver’s direct path.
Troopers said the driver remained at the scene after the crash.
The bicyclist was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
