Las Vegas, NV. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon in Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 5 p.m. on Warm Springs Road near Jones Boulevard
A 2008 Volkswagen Passat failed to maintain driving in the lane when it veered off the roadway and struck a pedestrian on a sidewalk.
The 23-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the car, Daniel Stakleff, 38, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
