One of the vehicles fled the scene after crashing into an overturned vehicle at 243rd Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway
Wittmann, AZ – Two people were injured, one critically, following a multi-vehicle traffic collision near an intersection south of Wittmann early Sunday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 12:38 a.m. on April 27 near 243rd Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said the initial collision involved two vehicles and one of the cars rolled over after the crash.
MCSO said a third vehicle crashed into the overturned car after the initial crash and drove away.
Two people were injured and one of the patients had life-threatening injuries. Both patients were hospitalized.
The accident remains under investigation and no additional details are available at this time.
