Osceola County, FL – A man was killed and a woman was injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 4 in Osceola County early Friday morning, according to The Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened at about 1 a.m. on April 25 at a construction zone on I-4 at State Route 429 near ChampionsGate

According to FHP, a 53-year-old Davenport woman was driving a 2021 Jeep Wrangler westbound on I-4 when she attempted to change lanes and rear-ended the back of a 2005 Toyota Scion XB.

The impact caused the Jeep to rotate and strike the guardrail, while the Scion crashed into the back of a construction truck parked on the shoulder.

The Toyota driver, a 41-year-old Lakeland man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The Davenport woman was hospitalized with minor injuries.

The driver of the construction truck, a 33-year-old St. Cloud man, was not injured in the incident.

No additional information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
