Two people on the Boilermaker Special were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Tippecanoe County, IN. – The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car accident that happened on Thursday afternoon in Southeastern Tippecanoe County.
According to the police, the accident happened on U.S. 52 at Wyandotte Road at around 3:58 p.m.
Purdue University’s Boilermaker Special, the official mascot of Purdue University, was driving north when it crossed the median and collided with a car traveling south.
The driver of the passenger car was killed in the accident.
