Jason Swanson killed in collision on U.S. 2 near Fern Bluff Road in Monroe

Monroe, WA. – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Monroe on Wednesday, April 16.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:20 a.m. on U.S. 2 near Fern Bluff Road.
Jason Swanson was driving a 2017 Ford Flex when he crashed into a vehicle that had stopped for traffic.
The impact of the collision sent the Ford Flex into the eastbound lane where it was struck by an oncoming Peterbuilt truck. A Honda Fit was also involved in the collision.
Swanson was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Two other people were evaluated at the scene and released.
