Antioch, IL. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a garbage truck on Monday morning in Antioch.
According to the Lake County Illinois Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Grass Lake Road and West Park Avenue.
A 35-year-old Spring Grove man was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson eastbound behind a 2019 Mack garbage truck.
The truck slowed down to make a left turn into a parking lot and was rear-ended by the motorcycle.
The rider was not wearing a helmet and was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
