The incident took place on Highway 204 near milepost 33 just before 3:15 p.m. on April 10.
Union County, OR – Mikel D Cribbs, 44, of Hermiston, was killed in a collision that took place in Union County last week on Thursday, according to the Oregon State Police.
The incident took place on Highway 204 near milepost 33 just before 3:15 p.m. on April 10.
According to the OSP, Cribbs was driving a Hyundai Sonata westbound on the highway when he drifted into the eastbound side and collided with an oncoming John Deere tractor.
The tractor overturned following the head-on collision.
Cribbs was pronounced deceased at the scene while the driver of the tractor, Santiago Ramirez Tapia, 42, of North Powder, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was shut down for hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
