Washington County, FL – Three children were killed in a tragic car accident that occurred in Washington County on Thursday afternoon, according to the authorities.

According to the report, a 24-year-old Georgia woman was driving a Mazda SUV northbound on State Road 79 when she was rear-ended by a Ford pickup truck.
The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway and the SUV hit a tree and rolled over.
Two children in the SUV were pronounced deceased while a third died at Bay Medical.
The operator of the SUV was hospitalized with severe injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 23-year-old, was treated for minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
