Bicyclist Killed in Accident at E Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Bill Beck Boulevard in Kissimmee

Kissimmee, FL – A bicycle rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle at an intersection in Kissimmee on Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly collision happened at about 9:30 p.m. on April 3, at E Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Bill Beck Boulevard.

The FHP reported that a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on E Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway when it proceeded through the intersection of Bill Beck Boulevard on a green light.

However, the truck hit a bicyclist who was trying to cross the intersection from the south side to the north in the crosswalk.

The rider, a 63-year-old St. Cloud man, was rushed to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the vehicle, a 56-year-old Kissimmee man, was unhurt and remained at the scene.

The FHP is investigating the accident.
