Pinellas Park, FL – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Pinellas Park on Monday morning, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.
The incident took place on 66th Street North and 78th Avenue North at about 6:25 a.m. March 31.
According to the report, a Nissan Titan truck was heading north on 66th Street North when it hit a man in a wheelchair who was trying to cross the street.
The victim, Jeffrey Young, 73, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver, Glenn Hogue, 38, was unhurt and stayed at the scene
The incident is under investigation.
