Kristen Koehnke was walking in the area and was hit by a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado
Island Lake, IL. – Kristen Koehnke, 41, has been identified by the Lake County Coroner’s Office as the woman who died after being struck by a car in Island Lake on Friday night, March 14.
According to police, the accident happened around 9:15 p.m. on Route 176 east of Waters Edge Drive.
Koehnke was walking in the area and was hit by a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 21-year-old Glenview woman.
Koehnke was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
