One occupant of the Civic was hospitalized while two others were treated at the scene and released

Urbana, IL. – Two people were killed in a car accident at an intersection in Urbana on Sunday, January 19.
According to Urbana police, the accident happened at the intersection of University Avenue and Coler Avenue just before 2 a.m.
A Mitsubishi SUV was traveling on the highway when it rear-ended a Honda Civic at the intersection near the Carle Foundation Hospital emergency entrance.
20-year-old Katherine J. Abraham of Glenview, IL, who was riding in the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene.
Chloe Polzin, a 21-year-old woman from Deerfield, IL, who was also in the Civic was also taken to the hospital where she later died.
One occupant of the Civic was hospitalized while two others were treated at the scene and released.
