Deputy Goble was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with a head injury, pain to his right arm and leg, and several lacerations to his head

Daviess County, IN. – A Daviess County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured in a collision involving an impaired driver on Saturday, March 1, in Daviess County.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Old US Highway 50 near Cindy Kay Drive.
Deputy Hunter Goble and two other deputies were in patrol vehicle that was traveling west on Highway 50 when they collided with a 2010 Dodge Challenger that failed to yield the right of way.
Deputy Goble was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with a head injury, pain to his right arm and leg, and several lacerations to his head, arm, and leg.
The driver of the Challenger, 20-year-old Karina Hernandez of Monroe City, was transported to Daviess Community Hospital for complaints of pain. She was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
