Osceola County, FL. – Three people, including a 5-year-old, who were killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Sunday afternoon in Osceola County have been identified, according to a police report.

The three victims were identified as Pragathi Reddy Velivarthi, 34, Sunitha Purumandla, 56, and Harveen Purumandla, 5.

According to FHP, a Ford F-150 truck, operated by a 30-year-old man, was heading southbound in the northbound lane of Kenansville Road north of Yates Ranch Road when it collided with a Toyota RAV-4 SUV carrying five people, at around 3 p.m. on March 16.

Upon the impact, the SUV veered off the roadway and overturned. Three people in the SUV were killed. The driver of the SUV, identified as Rohith Purumandla, and his 9-month-old son, were hospitalized with minor injuries, authorities said.

The wrong-way driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating to determine why the truck driver was traveling the wrong way leading to the deadly collision.

Osceola County, FL. – One person was killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Sunday afternoon in Osceola County.

The fatal collision happened on State Road 441 near Kenansville Road at around 3 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 30-year-old man from Jensen Beach was driving a truck southbound in the northbound lanes and crashed into an SUV.

The impact of the collision sent the SUV off the roadway where it overturned onto its roof.

A 54-year-old woman, a 34-year-old woman, and a 5-year-old boy in the car were killed in the accident.

Both drivers and a 9-month-old baby had minor injuries and were transported to Holmes Regional Medical Hospital.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
