It took emergency crews more than 30 minutes to extricate the pickup truck driver
Crest Hill, IL. – A driver was injured in a collision involving a fuel tanker truck early Friday morning in Crest Hill.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Plainfield Road.
A pickup truck reportedly crashed into a fuel tanker truck and became underneath the fuel tanker.
It took emergency crews more than 30 minutes to extricate the pickup truck driver.
The driver was transported to hospital with severe injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
