Shirley, IL. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Thursday in Shirley.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 11:11 a.m. on Interstate 55 near mile marker 154.
The 28-year-old man was walking in the area and was struck by a pickup truck.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Information about the involved driver was not provided.
The Dale Township Fire and Rescue, Bloomington Fire Department and McLean County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the incident.
