A 37-year-old Lake City man was driving a pickup truck north on the highway when it struck a woman
Lake City, FL. – A 54-year-old woman died after being struck by a car on Wednesday night in Lake City.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 441 near Northwest Quinten Street at around 8:28 p.m.
A 37-year-old Lake City man was driving a pickup truck north on the highway when it struck a woman.
The woman was then pronounced dead at the scene by the first responders.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
