One person killed in two-vehicle collision on Illinois Route 53 near Higgins Road
Cook County, IL. – A driver was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning in Cook County.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened around 12:22 a.m. on Illinois Route 53 south of Higgins Road.
A Toyota Prius stopped in the left lane with no lights on and was struck by a Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Prius was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
