Phoenix, AZ. – A police officer was injured in a collision that happened early Friday morning in central Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened around 12:45 a.m. in the area of Buckeye Road and the I-17 Black Canyon Access Road.
The officer was in the car that collided with two other vehicles. The impact of the collision caused one of the cars to roll onto its side.
The officer was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two other adults from the other cars were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
