The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Pasco County, FL. – A pickup truck driver was killed in a wrong-way crash on Friday morning in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on U.S. 301 near Mickler Road at around 5 a.m.
A pickup was traveling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 301 and collided head-on with an oncoming tractor-trailer, driven by a 41-year-old Haines City man.
The pickup truck’s driver died at the accident scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
